My bad experience with Dover Township and Travelers Insurance

In 2018 damage was caused to a garage door of a barn that is around 200 years old. This is my experience dealing with Dover Township and Travelers Insurance. There’s more to this story as this was a new garage door and was replaced because Dover Township damaged the previous one. You would hope that after he first one they would have been interested in not causing the damage again but instead they act like it’s not possible for them to not cause the damage and I confirmed with Conewago Township this isn’t true.

So in 2018 my garage door is damaged again, I file a police report as requested and Dover Township files a claim. The first image to Laurel Oswalt is of an email where Dover provided information about the damage. Note they state how they believe the damage was caused.

Then somewhere as you an see in the second image Dover Township and Jim Sherow apparently of Travelers Insurance decided to dispute the claim saying there is no proof. I think this is wrong and unethical since they already determined it was them as shown in the first image.

All this to avoid a claim is only in the hundreds or dollars. Dover does believe they can repeatedly damage this barn without being liable and I think they would lose in court. I think they would lose in court now I have something showing they admit to causing the damage as well but they didn’t expect me to have that when they decided to deny the claim saying there is no proof the damaged was caused by them.
